Gloucestershire businessmen cycle Land’s End to John O’Groats for charity MS Society Guide Dogs for Blind.
Two businessmen from Gloucestershire are set to cycle from Land’s End to John O’Groats to raise money for the MS Society and The Guide Dogs for the Blind Association.
Dave Merrett, MD of Merrett’s Heating System, from Frampton on Severn and Kevin House, a commercial account executive at Brunsdons, from Tetbury aim to raise a massive £10,000 between them.
Training, preparations and fundraising for the challenge are well underway, ready for the start of the challenge on 13th September.
Dave said: “I am very competitive and push myself a little more with each ride. I find encouragement by conquering little milestones I set myself to keep moving forward.”
Kevin said: “Whilst Lejog is not an easy thing to do by anybody’s imagination, it is achievable none the less. The next month is going to be tough, but we are totally committed to our goal and sponsorship target!”
Dave and Kevin will be accompanied on their travels by Dave’s friend, Pete, and his camper van. He will be on hand with tools and a first aid kit, as well as plenty of food and drink to keep Dave and Kevin going. Like Dave, he had a sister who was severely affected by MS.
